What is MokoOnyx?

Details
Last Updated: 18 June 2026

MokoOnyx is Moko Consulting’s standalone Bootstrap 5 Joomla template — built from scratch as an independent template, not a Cassiopeia child. It features over 200 CSS custom properties for complete visual control, dark/light theme switching via Bootstrap 5’s data-bs-theme system, 15 module positions including off-canvas drawers and a sticky TOC sidebar, Font Awesome 7 Pro, and full Bootstrap 5.3 support. All customisation is done via CSS variable overrides — core template files are never modified, making updates safe and straightforward.

What is Joomla and how does MokoSuite use it?

Details
Last Updated: 18 June 2026

Joomla is a free, open-source Content Management System (CMS) built on PHP and MySQL. It ships with built-in user management, multilingual support, access control lists (ACL), content versioning, and workflow — all without requiring third-party plugins. Joomla sits between WordPress and Drupal in complexity: more powerful than WordPress for sites needing fine-grained permissions and complex content hierarchies, but more approachable than Drupal for most organisations.

What is the difference between articles, categories, and menus?

Details
Last Updated: 18 June 2026

In MokoSuite, articles hold your content, categories organise it into a hierarchy, and menus create the URLs and pages that display it. All three work together: you need both a published article and a menu item pointing to it for a page to appear on your site — without a menu item, no URL is generated even if the article is published.

How does MokoSuite user access control work?

Details
Last Updated: 18 June 2026

MokoSuite uses a three-layer ACL system: User Groups define who the user is, Viewing Access Levels control what they can see, and Permissions determine what actions they can perform. Permissions cascade from Global Configuration → Component → Category → Individual Item, with settings at lower levels overriding those above. Groups form a hierarchy where child groups inherit parent permissions.
