Set the Access field on the article and/or menu item to control visibility. “Public” means everyone can see it; “Registered” means logged-in users only. To hide a menu link from non-members, set the menu item’s access level. To show the link but require login to read the content, set only the article’s access level. For membership-gated content, OS Membership Pro automates access by adding subscribers to a Joomla user group on payment and removing them on expiry.
To restrict a page: open the menu item → set Access to Registered (or a custom level). Open the article → set Access to the same level. If you want the menu item to disappear entirely for non-members, set the menu item access level. If you want the menu item to appear but show a login prompt when clicked, set only the article access level.
For membership-gated content, OS Membership Pro automates this by adding subscribers to a Joomla user group on payment and removing them on expiry — no manual access changes required.
